Beginning Meditation Journal, Days 5 and 6

For the last two days, I have been meditating with the help of a free guided meditation mp3 file that I found on the internet. I have to say, that using the guided meditation has helped me ten fold. It is amazing at how much more focused I am when listening to the guided meditation. From now on I am going to continue using the guided meditation to help me get better at it. Once I have more practice I am sure I wont need it anymore. but for starting out, I think it is a definite help, and I would recommend it to anyone else out there just starting to practice meditation.

You may have noticed that I grouped two days together, well, I started thinking that there isn't much to write here on a daily basis, so I am going to start grouping multiple days together from now on, in order to get a little more 'meat' into my posts. The last two days were very good for me, I have come out of the meditations feeling very relaxed, and more ready to tackle the day. It actually feels like I accomplished something, rather then having just gone through the motions. Another good thing about the guided meditation,is that it blocks out any distracting noises that may be going on in your house. In my case, that would be my wife and dog going about their normal business.

I will keep you posted on how things go from now on, hopefully I can continue to come out of the meditation feeling relaxed and ready to go. One thing I do want to accomplish is being able to visualize better, I seem to still have a hard time visualizing anything at all, let alone what I should be visualizing to go along with the guided meditation.
